Hey, I saw your post where you said you wanted people to look things up themselves before asking you and I have a question! I Googled this and got conflicting answers, so I posted the question to my page, but since I’m new to Tumblr, I don’t think I’ll get many answers there. Anyway, here’s my question: Is it absolutely necessary for a witch to be vegetarian/vegan? Because I’m anemic and need red meats in my diet. 😅 Thanks in advance! ❤🌸 ~Sage

Absolutely not!! There are no dietary requirements to be a witch. I’m not a vegetarian or vegan. For some people that works and they may tie it to their crafts, but it’s not necessary.

I do think that it’s good to be as ethical an eater as possible. For me ethical eating involves getting most of my produce, eggs, meat, etc. from local farms and being conscious of what foods tend to have shitty human labor conditions tied to them. But this certainly isn’t a reality for everyone due to where they live and financial situations. So just do the best you can and keep being witchy ❤

What are your thoughts on spells that have to do with attracting love/romantic relationships/ bringing people closer together?

I think they’re great! Spells designed to attract love or romance are a great way to perform a love spell without worrying about consent (because it’s a general request from the universe, not targeting a specific person).

I think that if you do one with the intent of strengthening a relationship that the other person should be informed and give their consent first!

What made you pick Hestia as your goddess? I believe I received a vision from Loki, but I like to hear stories and would love to hear yours!

It just felt right. I was struggling with mental health issues a couple of years ago and the things that brought me comfort were tending to others, being kind, being the keeper of the ceremonial central fire during a rite of passage others were doing, etc. I felt a really strong call and I answered it.

I rewatched Lord of the Rings the other day and you know what I really appreciate?

The men are so tender.

They cry, and kiss each other’s foreheads, and hug, and call each other ‘my friend’ and ‘my dear’; they’re respectful to women and faithful to their partners; they have banter without being creepy and sleazy, and literally none of that stops them from being considered “manly”.

More Lord of the Rings men please.
