Bedridden Witch Series

For those of you who don’t know me, I suffer from a chronic illness and I spend a LOT of time bedridden. I also happen to be a witch! I don’t let being trapped in bed stop me from practicing my craft. Here are some resources I’ve compiled from my personal experiences and the help of others ❤

Check the reblogs for future updates! Posted 8/23/18.

Harvest Moon in Aries

sea-lestial-dream-witch:

🌛The full Harvest Moon is *tonight* on Sept. 24th (2018) but its energies will last till Oct. 8. The full moon will be in Aries, which is the astrological sign of determination and strength.

🌜This harvest moon will bring: tests, challenges, confusion, heightened fears, and potentially some personal upheaval.

🌛What to focus on: opportunities to heal and mend issues, courage to tackle fears in regards to failure/success, rejection, loneliness. (Don’t worry, it’s not all bad)

🌜What to avoid: stay away from extremes, try to remain centered and grounded, keep your focus. Take some down time to care for yourself & recharge! This doesn’t mean avoid all your fears or stay indoors, rather focus on maintaining a balance.

🌛Uranus and Mars add positive energies to this moon. Mars is filled with passion, Uranus brings forth change. Use this positivity to your advantage!

Full moon tarot card: Two of Wands
Full moon crystal: Ruby (works well with Mars, offers protection & aids in grounding)

it really bothers me when everyone in witchblr starts reblogging a post from a blog with a hateful url. it makes me worried that the folks reblogging are okay with that, or agree with it. i hope it’s just that they didn’t pay attention to who the op is. :/

Oh no! If I ever do this, please please please let me know! It’s because I wasn’t paying attention to who the op was.

Additionally, if you catch me reblogging from terfs, racists, or other awful things, please tell me! I don’t go through every single Tumblr. I tend to assume that if it shows up on my dash via one of the blogs I follow, that it’s from an okay source. I’ve found out the hard way that this isn’t always the case.

it wasn’t you, if you were worried! it was from a url that was pretty clearly acephobic, and their blog seemed to be mostly about trolling people and revelling in stirring up crap, so i don’t want to give them any extra publicity.

the folks that i saw reblogging it weren’t folks i interact with, so i didn’t feel comfortable going “hey did you notice this..?”

i’m going to give those folks the benefit of the somewhat-doubt, but also kind of be on the lookout for more acephobic stuff from them, just in case 👀

If I ever do this, I hope someone will gently point it out. Even if I’m not someone they interact with.

I assure anyone reading, it would have been done entirely in error.

Okay people. We are not Mind Readers. Sometimes i’ll reblog stuff and i don’t pay attention to who the OP is. If you see something problematic just message me privately. Not a big deal.

We are people just like the rest of you and sometimes -gasp- we make mistakes! So chances are if you bring it up and tell me i’ll be like “Oh snap i didn’t know that about that person” and fix whatever thing it was.

But if you don’t tell me i won’t know, ya feel?

Is anybody else selfish and feel uncomfortable sharing witchcraft they created for themselves?

I poured hours of time, energy, and research into these spells, oil blends, tea blends, herbal blends, & rituals to create the perfect path for myself and my practice is so personal to me that I don’t really feel comfortable having other people asking to use it.

Some of my practice is rather linear with a lot of spells and information already posted online, and I don’t mind sharing those… but some of this I hand crafted to empower myself and I would like to keep it for myself.

There are things I won’t post or share ever and I would hope people would respect that and I need to stand up for myself and establish boundaries from people.

There are exceptions, like my coven back in Oregon… those who have taken me under their wing and educated me… my teachers… but otherwise… this is for me.

This is normal and often wise. Witchcraft can be intensely personal and we all deserve the right to keep that which is private, private.
