Your medication doesn’t make you less witchy/spiritual/psychic/magical
-Your medication doesn’t make your work less potent.
-Your medication is part of your self care and self care is apart of your spiritual journey.
-Your self care is apart of a good & healthy praxis.
-Mental instability is not a sign of more “potent magic”.
-Harming your body by not taking your meds, not following medical advise, etc. does not make you a more hardcore practitioner, a more devoted devotee, or a stronger witch.
Thank u for coming to my ted talk.
Today I…
- Spent two hours getting my passport renewed.
- Spent $240 on the new passport.
- Was late to treatment because I wasn’t expecting a simple passport renewal to be that long of a process (silly me for only budgeting an hour and a half).
- Started crying when I picked River up from the vet (she got spayed today).
- Spent $386 on River’s surgery.
- Drank 2 cups of cocoa for dinner then had a wicked stomach flare.
- Cried when an episode of Criminal Minds ended happily.

A self-love spread for days when I feel like I’m not good enough. Very straight forward.
1. A great quality about you
2. Something other people love about you.
3. What you bring out in others.

hi, there is no correlation between your weight & your worth

The problems I have with the witchblr community
Witchblr can be a great place but at the same time an extremely annoying one.
- Bullet points are tips for new people if they are new.
I think the obvious one is that there are so many elitists here. These people just think that they know the exact way and the path that everyone should take and to say something that doesn’t correlate with their path means that you’re wrong. Sometimes they can be helpful but a lot of the time they just misinform you by saying something can only be done a particular way.
- If someone is really biased toward a way of doing things or sends hate about other paths then they aren’t trustworthy.
My second problem is the viewpoints on wicca. Obviously it isn’t for everyone and it will be a stepping stone to witchcraft for many but I almost feel like the people here hate on the faith and just say it’s a beginner thing. There are some concerns and we should reiterate that not all witches are wiccan but at the same time wicca is valid.
- All faiths and beliefs are valid in witchcraft. None are less important than others
Then again wiccans can hate on others. I see people reply to hexes telling people to remember the rule of three. Not everyone believes in this and we all have the right to do whatever magic we please.
- People are entitled to hex whomever they want and when they want if it doesn’t contradict their religious beliefs.
Spells on here aren’t always good. People will post things because they sound nice or make an easy spell for beginner witches. Just because the outcome is pretty or it’s got a lot of likes doesn’t mean that it’s a good spell. People may not even test them before they put them out there.
- Take everything with a grain of salt. Not all spells are good so try to make sure their source is reliable.
People who get restless when you take long to answer an ask. This happens a lot when you’re giving tarot readings which is so annoying. I get it can be annoying if you ask for a tarot reading but right now I have 10 asks and little energy to do them which isn’t helped by my depression which makes me want to do things even less.
- People don’t owe you anything. If they’re taking a while to reply then be patient
Anyway this was a personal ramble. I’m gonna make a post on the good things about witchblr cause I’m not just a negative person aha.
If anyone is curious about wildlife tracking and lives in the greater Seattle area, there’s two cool little tracking classes/clubs two days each month. One is based out of Seattle and one based is out of the Snoqualmie valley.
It’s free but donations (of ~$5) are welcome and help cover gas costs for the people volunteering to run/teach the classes. I think it’s a great way to step into the world of tracking! [X]
