Being a good person is a choice. Don’t let people fool you into believing that truly good people never have bad thoughts, are never tempted by the easier path, by the low road, never mess up or act out selfishly. Never believe a person can be good without making a conscious effort.
Every single time you do something good, you’ve made a decision to make the world a little brighter.
Goodness is not an inherent trait, it is a choice. Keep making it! I see you, I’m proud of you, and I’m rooting for you!
Mason jars may fit the aesthetic better, but old shampoo bottles, coke cans, cream jars and perfume bottles are just as good for holding potions, spells and herbs. Plus this helps the Earth by recycling!
Get an icon image of some sort. Doesn’t matter what. I added mine the day I started this blog and it was just randomly on my phone, now it’s a big part of how people recognize me.
Make original posts on things you’re passionate about. Don’t just copy off of what other successful posts are about. I noticed a lack of spoonie/chronic illness witchcraft posts so I started creating my own 🙂
Use the tags. Spam them appropriately. Some tags to consider using when applicable: witch, witchcraft, baby witch, new witch, beginner witch, witch/y question, magic, magick, spell, crystal/s, sigil/s, etc.
Interact with posts! Be nice to people! Answer questions, give advice when you can.
Support the work of smaller/newer blogs. Reblog posts that don’t have as many notes. Make your blog unique, us bigger blogs tend to all reblog from each other and it turns into stale content after a while! I’m certainly guilty of that.
Overall, do whatever you want. I certainly didn’t start this blog with the goal of having a lot followers, and I wouldn’t have been happy or lasted as long on this site if I had! My goal was to create content I felt passionate about and share it with people, and I still do that! It’s your blog, do whatever makes you happy 😀
If I get any more requests like this today I’ll delete them, please don’t use me as a bulletin board! I don’t mind doing the occasional shout out 💕
and learning how to start with aphrodite. i’m in a dorm and don’t have much access to things i can worship with since i’m broke af and don’t even have a candle lighter :((( now my second question is, i’ve also really been enjoying learning about Christianity, but i can’t say no to the greek gods. is it ok if i follow both do you think? i know that that’s kind of for each person to decide but it feels weird to do both for me (at least for now) but i can’t say no to my gods. thanks for ur help 2/2
I know many people who worship deities from different pantheons and religions. I personally do not do this. Like you said, this is up to you to decide – no one can make that choice for you. I would recommend taking it slow, trying different things and seeing how it feels. There is no rush, the gods are old and will be there. And don’t force anything that feels wrong!
One of my favorites is when a religious converter type comes up to me when I’m sitting around. Because they usually have a cold open like “The Lord has called me to you” replying with “Indeed He Has My Child, for He is Pleased With Your Work, and wishes you to know that you are known to Him”. Throw inflections into the wrong points in words, but do it with a very calming presence. After all, you’re the SMS from the afterlife, you’re merely the vessel of the vassal, and nothing scuttles their plans faster than trying to have to process that this very calmly spoken person who InflEcts their words JuiSSSSt quite not riGHt is acknowleding them in an uncomforting way.
Once they leave, watch them until something blocks the line of site, and then move like lightning to not be there when they glance back.
(This is why there are probably some really good rumours in Adelaide about me)
I remember this guy once who tried to dare me (the nerd of the group) to do something or another to prove my “manliness”. I calmly replied “How cute of you to think I´m human…” and kept walking. He stared at me in confusion and when I was several meters away I heard him say “yeah…good point.”
– Coriander is best used in matters relating to love. It can be added to sachets, charms, or spells. It’s edible and can be used in mixes and drinks to enhance love or lust. It can be crushed into incense and burned to achieve the same energies. Due to its association with love it is often used at handfastings (and other rituals of union). It can be used to ease the pain of bad love affairs, and to promote peace between people who struggle to get along.
– It is also used for protection. Grow in the garden and hang in the home to bring peace and ward against negativity and (depending on the user’s intent) an array of negative things. Wear or carry the seeds to ward off disease and migraines.
– Also used for: healing, good health, longevity, clairvoyance, divination, fertility, prosperity, keeping secrets, passion, and retention.
Medicinal Properties
– Coriander’s anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce joint swelling in rheumatoid arthritis.
– When the herb is added to the diet along with other natural immune system boosters, chronic infections can be eliminated.
