Hey mouse I have a question, with job spells is there a way to direct it at someone else? My boyfriend is having a really hard time with money, jobs and pretty much life and I feel like I can’t do anything to help him

All you need is some sort of tag lock (hair, a photo of him, and object that is important to him, etc.) to incorporate into the spell and tie it to him instead of you 🙂

Hi! I just wanted your opinion about witches who say that witchcraft is just an aesthetic and it doesn’t matter if other people use it as such. The exact words were “as a witch myself, yeah, it’s an aesthetic, and it doesn’t hurt or oppress anyone soooo nope” It was on a video that listed witchcraft as an aesthetic that people can try for their social media. Idk, there’s something about the wording that make me uncomfortable. I don’t have any witch friends but I wanted a second opinion.

Okay so here are my thoughts:

  • Witchcraft does tend to have a certain aesthetic: crystals, tarot cards, sigils and runes, darker colors (blacks, dark red and purple, etc.), long pointed nails, flowing clothes or “old-fashioned”/raggedy clothes. Not that everyone fits within the aesthetic nor do they need to in order to be a witch. 
  • I know that there are people out there that really enjoy the look but don’t necessarily want to practice the craft. I personally am okay with them calling it “witchcraft aesthetic” or “witchy aesthetic” because they aren’t wrong, that is a commonly associated aesthetic. 
  • For some of us, the aesthetic is part of how we draw our power. For others, it doesn’t matter. But in order to be a witch you must put some form of energy and intention in – it can’t be purely aesthetic.
  • I think there certainly are worse things to call an aesthetic (like people using the g-slur), but it is a little frustrating when people claim that simply following an aesthetic makes you that thing!

My partner is asleep and I don’t have anyone else I can message about this but I was googling some stuff about chronic pain I’ve been having and I came across Fibromyalgia and read up about it. For the first time in years I feel like everything makes sense now and I want to cry. I know I have to talk to a doctor about this but it makes so much sense. I’ve felt so frustrated with how much pain I’ve been in for “no reason” And was worried I was just a weak unfit person

Before requesting a sigil, bear in mind:

  • ONLY spoonie sigils are free, the rest are by commission. 
  • I am a spoonie, please respect my energy and time. No more than two sigil requests in an ask, and the more swamped I get the less likely I am to make your sigil in a timely fashion! Don’t let this deter you! 😀

As a secular/atheist witch is it odd for me to wear a faery star??? I just got a gorgeous solid silver faery star at a Ren fair. I feel strongly drawn to the idea of fae and believe there are sort of fae “forces” in the world even if I don’t literally think faeries walk among us. I also relate to stories of Changelings due to similarities of the Changeling mythos to autistic childhood. And I feel that any magic I do is more of a focusing of myself than of actually changing the universe…

TBH I don’t really have much knowledge on faery stars, I’ve never come across them in my practice! Posting because I have some very knowledgeable followers ❤

So sorry if this is a stupid question! I really would like to get into spirit work and I remember you saying something about working with plant spirits and animal spirits. (sorry if I’m wrong!) How do you know if they are a plant or animal spirit? Do you specifically call them and they come? Is it also dangerous to ask any spirit to come and talk? Thank you!💗

Oh no question is a stupid question, my dear!

Please note that my interactions and experiences with these spirits is entirely UPG! Like most of my craft, I learned through common sense and intuition. I’d recommend using your own common sense and intuition and doing additional research (don’t base your methods of spirit work blindly off of me!) ❤

Plant Spirits:

  • I’ve found most individual plants tend to have a spirit. However, sometimes a patch or grove will have one spirit.
  • These spirits tend to have certain characteristics in common (meaning, spirits of a particular plant), but don’t assume that they’ll all be the same and share feelings and personalities. 
  • Personalities can also vary based on what environment the plant and spirit are growing in. A forest spirit, an alpine spirit, an ocean spirit can all be very different, even if they all share the same type of plant. 
  • I usually walk up to a plant/patch and sit with it. I introduce myself (by my witch name), why I want to interact with them, and what I appreciate about the plant. Bringing some sort of offering is also good (I like water).
  • Sometimes I get an immediate response or feeling, sometimes I get a cold-shoulder or a “you’ll need to work on this if you want to interact with me/us” and sometimes I get nothing. 
  • Honestly, I’m not going to touch more on this because it can be different for different people and it is tough when you have a set way of how it should be in your mind.
  • It’s a process! You have to build rapport. But when you do, walking through the forest is so amazing because you are familiar with the plants and spirits.

Animal spirits:

  • My interaction with this spirits is almost always when I have a physical connection to their body/remains. Usually after I find their body and move it to the offering tree in my forest (where nature can find life from death), or find their bones. 
  • These interactions vary greatly. With the ones I bring to the tree, they usually seem attached to me for a couple of days, following me around and giving me a vibe that seems… grateful, for lack of a better word.
  • With the bones, sometimes they’re okay with me handling them (the bones), sometimes they want me to leave the bones where I found them/in a wild place, and sometimes they’re pissed that I even touched them. As long as I respect whatever vibe I get, nothing has happened and sometimes I build a connection with them after time. 
  • Like any relationship/connection, it takes time, respect and openness.

I personally wouldn’t recommend calling any spirit to come visit, but if you’re able to create some sort of tie with a specific species and know what they’re energy is like – I’d say that would be relatively safe. Please set guidelines first!
