For many of us, taking baths/showers is physically exhausting or impossible. Here are some ways to incorporate bath magic into your life without actually taking a bath or leaving bed!
Using wipes:
Wipes come in a variety of types, making them perfect. There’s usually a good fit for everyone, I personally enjoy the Burt’s Bees brand. I use correspondences to give my wipe-down a little oomph! I’m making this Burt’s Bees specific but you get the idea!
Cotton: Purity, healing, luck, protection.
Cucumber and Sage: Recovery, growth, soothing. Protection, cleansing, wishes.
White Tea: Cleansing, clarity, blessings, glamour.
You can also draw sigils on the packaging, charge it with crystals, place the package in the sun/moonlight, etc.
Using washcloths/hand towels:
When I’m stuck in bed for a while, I keep a stack of washcloths and a vessel of water nearby so I can wash my arms and legs, or to put on my forehead to cool down. There’s a couple different ways to make this witchy!
Color correspondences for the washcloths themselves.
Use water charged in the sun/moon, or rain/storm water.
Charge your water with crystals or sigils.
If you put the crystals in the water, which is not required, here is a list of crystals that cannot go in water:
If I’m placing it on my forehead, I’ll add a couple drops of diluted essential oils.
Using a spray bottle:
Sometimes you just gotta mist yourself, which is especially helpful for the hair or days when it’s stuffy.
I love adding some herbs or a bit of rosewater into the spraybottle.
Once again, you can use sun/moon and rain/storm water.
You can also charge the bottle with crystals or sigils.
I like to say a little chant: “Like the rains cleanse the earth, let this water cleanse me/my body/my mind”.
Sometimes I just spritz myself with rosewater.
Other things:
Dry shampoo. Use to refresh, glamorize, etc. Charge it beforehand if you so desire.
Lotion. Use to rejuvenate, heal, etc. Scent/ingredient correspondences!
Deodorant. Charge, scent correspondences, you get the idea!
Brushing your teeth. If you can’t make it to the bathroom, I like to keep a travel sized kit by my bed and spit into a cup (definitely different than the one I drink from). Don’t underestimate the cleansing and refreshing powers of brushing your teeth!
Anything else you can think of!
Low energy + ingredient magic for in the tub:
Pour some Epsom salts in there. Bonus points if they’re infused with anything. You know the deal, correspondences. You can also do this for a hand/foot soak if you’re able to access the floor and have a bowl!
Plop some tea bags in the bath. Mint really helps me with migraines and stomach stuff! You can also place them over your eyes/on your forehead.
Essential oils. I like to put a couple of drops in a bowl on the edge of the tub, it works really well with steam!
You will need some dried rose petals, two drops of rose oil, 2 tablespoons of Epsom salts, a cup of dry milk powder, one tablespoon of oatmeal, and a muslin teabag (you can use the foot of an old sock or pantyhose).
In a jar, mix together the Epsom salts and the rose fragrance oil. Let this stand for a day. Mix with the remaining ingredients and place into the muslin teabag.
Prepare your bath the usual way. While the hot water is running, drop the teabag under the hot water. The fragrance and milky clouds will soon turn an ordinary bathing experience into a wonderful aromatic pleasure. Use citrus peels and oils to invigorate. Lavender flowers and oils for a stress reducer. Experiment. Have fun!
Okay i did my first really elaborate potion – i mean bath. I did
really great, it worked “du feu de Dieu” (that is a thing we say
in French when things goes really well). I’ll share for you !
You’ll need :
a little bit of salt and incense
hot water!!
oat milk for soothing
« the comforter » lush bath (it contains blackcurrant,
which is comforting, and cypress, which is relaxing)
mint for strenght and luck
thyme for courage
tree agate for peace and soothing
Sunstone for self-love (but don’t put it in the water!!)
red jasper for grounding, strenght and feeling loved
clear quartz to amplify
one candle (or more)
Cleanse your bathtub with salt and your
bathroom with incense. Then rince the salt and pour the oat milk (and
don’t forget to put the rest of the bottle in the fridge). Start to
fill the bathtub with hot water and add a little bit of The Comforter
(hmmm that smells good!!) and sprinkle with the herbs. Stir stir stir
with your hands to make it extra foaming! Bubles!!! Put the crystals
and candle(s) on the edge of the bathtub. When it’s all full and
nice, hot as you like, enter slowly – yes, that smells like candy,
your mind and body will become sweet as heck as you meditate in your
pale pink giant tea cup!
Bonus : i used angelica shampoo
(courage, good fortune) and visualized myself clearing my mind and
banishing bad thoughts about the exams as i washed my hair!
I also
diffused cinnamon essential oil everywhere (be careful tho, this can be
irritating to your pretty lungs, dilute it in less aggressive oils) for
good luck and happiness.

For this specific bath bomb, I’ve made it with the intent of banishing what needs to be released from me so that there is space for me to heal and grow again after going through some very toxic situations and relationships.
Bath Bomb Recipe!
*Baking Soda ½ Cup *Citric Acid ¼ Cup *Cornstarch ¼ Cup *Sea Salt ¼ Cup *Jojoba Oil 3 Tsp (for this I used coconut oil that I have warmed up until it became liquid) *Essential Oil 1 Tsp (for this one I did a blend of Black Pine, Amber, Lavender) *Liquid Black Food Colouring 1 Tbsp (if you want a richer colour, you can add more later as you’re mixing the wet ingredient to the dry) *Dried Rose Petals, Lavender, Rose Buds, Mugwort (I eyeballed the amount I wanted) *Water (small amount added to spray bottle)
You want to put all your dry ingredients into a bowl and mix them together with a whisk. In a spray bottle, add in your carrier oil (Jojoba, Coconut… etc) and your essential oils. Also add in the liquid food colouring of choice. Shake it up. If it seems a bit too thick, add a tiny bit of water and shake it again. You will be spraying this mixture into the dry mixture (only a few sprays at a time) and mixing it. You will keep repeating this until the mixture starts to clump together. The reasoning for not adding all the liquids in together at once is that it will cause the citric acid to fix away completely. Once everything is mixed well, spoon them into the mold and make sure to pack it down tightly. Let it sit in the fridge or freezer to let it harden. When I took these out, they were still a bit squishy, so I had to re-shape them a bit, but they turned out pretty good for a first time try. I’m letting the rest of the bath bombs to sit out to dry before storing them in a container.
