Hey there! I really admire you blog so I thought you’d be a good person to ask this, I’m trying to make a cleansing spray and it calls for lemon juice, which I don’t have. Normally I’d just wait to do it until I can get a lemon, but due to certain circumstances, I can’t. Do you think I could substitute it with lime juice? If not is there anything you would recommend substituting it for? Thank you so much for your time!
I would recommend using one of the citrus fruits that feels energizing/refreshing to you, like orange, grapefruit, etc. Lime doesn’t to me for some reason, but if it does for you, great!
You could also use lemon grass, lemon verbena, lemon balm, etc.
Trust your gut on finding replacements: Does the spray need the lemon juice component? What things feel/flow right to fill that component? 🙂

I know it feels like you can’t fit the standards of what others may hold for you and what you hold for yourself, and that can be frustrating and lead to looking down on yourself. And it may be true that you are not hitting that mark, and it may also be true that that mark is impossible to reach. How you feel about this situation is completely valid, I’ve been there many times and it’s absolutely infuriating to try your damn best and still not succeed. That being said, I’ve also gotten past this many times. Perhaps you’ll hit a point where you realize one or more of these things (I hit at least one of them every time):
- You’ve been reaching the important mark all along, and that other mark was irrelevant to you.
- Maybe you didn’t reach that mark, that standard. But all the work that you put in payed off in a different way.
- Things often seem huge, overwhelming when they surround your life. Think back to the other things that used to feel like this. How many did you have to reach to remember? How many are still there, holding lessons? With time comes reflection (and sometimes release, moving on completely).
- It was a shitty situation. This wasn’t the first and it won’t be the last. Sometimes you just gotta acknowledge that and find the best way to carry on with your life while holding how you were/are affected by it.
- Doing your best and trying hard is good enough for you. You’re putting the effort in, and it’s easier to see when you stop comparing it to other’s efforts or your ideas the ideal (read: only form of) success.
Approach life with an open mindset, but also don’t invalidate your feelings. Just because this situation may be resolved later doesn’t mean your feelings are any less true or important ❤ I wish you the best in this, my dear!

i have always been excited and motivated when it comes to witchcraft, though I haven’t done much spellwork most just researching, but out of nowhere I have been very anxious and even scared of it? I literally have no clue what’s wrong with me if it’s my mental health or if I shouldn’t be practicing, any thoughts on this? literally anything is appreciated I don’t have anyone to talk to about witchcraft so I hope u don’t mind lol
Seeing as it sounds like you haven’t been dabbling in any specifics yet, I’d say it’s likely not a sign to avoid practicing. It is important to pay attention to those feelings, especially when trying something new, but sometimes our brains our just being silly.
If you are worried (and that would be totally fair), I’d recommend doing some “lighter/gentler” stuff with less chances for negative consequences like color correspondences, drink/food magic, little blessings, sigils, etc. until you start to feel more comfortable ❤

I personally like holding the object in my hands and visualizing what I’m saying being infused into the item (in this case, the candies). It can be as simple as “May this brighten everyone’s days. May this lift their spirits. May this sweetness extend to X on this day” etc. 🙂

***TRIGGER WARNING*** just wondering– are people with depression, anxiety, and disassociation considered spoonies? i’m all of the above and some days are worse than others. some days i’m completely functional, but most days make it extremely hard for me to pull through it and cope. however, i’m always forced to pull through even on my worst days due to my job and such. i hope this makes sense and thank you for reading :) hope you’re doing good!
