Thank you for answering my ask so quickly! I lost my cat today and I wanted to ask for a spell to help me find her or for her to get home safe. But I feel like I didn’t understand if there was any special etiquette besides the standard “be polite on the internet” Thank you again

Is it polite to offer payment when asking for a spell?

It really depends on the situation honestly! 

Is it someone you know?

  • Have they offered to do a spell for you? 
  • Have you talked about this before?
  • When in doubt, say that you’re interested but respect their comfort level and time.
  • If they say yes, ask what you can do in return for their time. If they refuse payment in the form of money, perhaps offer payment in the form of something else (help with something, an IOU, dinner, etc.) 
  • Honestly if they refused I’d still insist on buying them dinner/a tea or coffee – that’s just how I am. 

Is it someone online? 

  • Are they even offering it or are you assuming because they are a witch?
  • Do they have commission info? 
  • Are they specifically offering free spells? 
  • Have you interacted with them before? 
  • When in doubt, ask. “Hey I’m interested in this spell. I don’t want to assume you’re willingness to do it but I figured I’d ask! I completely understand if the answer is no :)”
  • If they say yes, or that they’d be willing to do it say something like “Thank you, I really appreciate the time and energy you’re willing to put into this. Can I offer you ___ (cash, a favor, an art commission, an IOU, a thing you’re good at) in return?” 
  • It doesn’t always have to be money but if they’ve specifically mentioned something about it (think: commission post) sometimes they need to eat/buy something and a favor won’t do much good 🙂

It’s always good to offer but be aware of circumstances and know that not everyone is comfortable accepting money as a form of payment (but there are many forms that don’t involve money). Hope this helps! 🙂

hey, id wanted to ask you about this video i saw the other day called “Adventures of Mark Twain – The Mysterious Stranger”, (sorry for the bad english i’m actually from Kalaba’s), this video is from a movie, that is based on the book: “The Mysterious Stranger, from 1985”.. So if you’d have time to see this this video and if that calls your attention i’d like to ask you something else… three cheers for sweet love my dear <3

Well that was certainly an interesting six minutes! I always have admired stop-motion animation and the dedication that people put into it, but that movie seems very strange. I’m not sure I’d be able to answer many questions about it, I’m pretty confused!

Im not very good at writing spells and most of the spells i find online are in english, which is not my first language. Do you think its just as good to cast spells in english or should I write my own in the language that hits closer to home?

Hi! I think writing and casting spells in the language you’re most familiar/comfortable with would be best!

You don’t have to completely start from scratch, you can always draw inspiration and different aspects from the spells posted on here that are in English ☺️

Or, if you feel comfortable with it, it’s also totally okay to do the spells in English!

Hey, could you *not* tag it as “q slur”? As a queer person, I don’t like feeling like my identity is being disrespected. Most (if not all) queer people are okay with it being tagged “q word” or similar. (I understand if you won’t change the way the tag is worded, though I will be unfollowing if that’s the case).

I will tag it as “#q word” so people who would like to avoid it can, and so people who would like to reclaim the word don’t have to see it called a slur.

I always welcome people to unfollow me if something I’m doing makes my blog unsafe for them (or you) ❤️

Any other asks on this will be deleted, I’ve found the best compromise I can to accommodate everyone and would rather avoid unnecessary discourse on this blog! ☺️

Again, just a reminder that it will not be a consistent tag because I am not bothered by the word so I don’t tend to notice it.
