ive fallen so out of my craft due to mental illness and i feel so guilty ):

Oh my darling, try not to feel guilty over things you can’t control 💕

Everyone takes breaks from the craft, sometimes they’re short, sometimes they’re long. Sometimes they’re chosen, sometimes they’re forced (by circumstances, limitations, health). But they’re all okay! Witchcraft will still be there if you need it, or when you’re ready to return.

And it’s okay to dabble in small things until you hit the point that you’re ready for fully returning (if that’s what you want, you are under no obligation to return to the craft). Sigils, crystals, one-card readings. Use the craft to help you if you’d like.

You are still a witch unless you decide otherwise ❤️

So i finished my degree yesterday and was planning to spend the weekend celebrating with classmates i’ll never see again, but instead lyme-hell kicked in and now i’m alone in bed with fever and stuff. sometimes it’s just so hard to be rational and handle the illness you know, so i don’t really know what to do with myself. just needed to vent to someone, since none of my friends relate at all to the chronic illness stuff. sorry for bringing bad vibes, just feeling so sad and alone right now:(

Wow congrats on finishing your degree, I’m so proud of you and that you were able to kick ass while dealing with Lyme and everything else life threw at you ❤

My dear, it’s very rational to be upset and disappointed about that. Endings are always bittersweet but being able to celebrate and say your final goodbyes can definitely help and you may not be able to get that 😦

However, the weekend is still young (it hasn’t even started yet, depending on where you live)! Perhaps you’ll feel well enough to join for a few hours or to Skype in for a little bit. And if not, maybe write some letters to your classmates on how they influenced your life and made your experience at the school better – it can feel good to get those thoughts and feelings out.

You’re more than welcome to message me, I never share what conversations happen in messages and I’m always happy to talk (rant/vent) chronic illness with people. It sucks and we’ve got to stick together and support each other!

How does one go about making a tarot spread?

There’s two possible things you could be asking me, so I’m gonna answer both!

Using a pre-created spread:

  1. Pick the spread you want to use
  2. Focus on the questions
  3. Draw your cards and put them in order (most spreads are numbered)
  4. Read your spread!

Creating your own spread:

  1. Reflect on what you want to ask/focus on
  2. Pick the questions/meanings for each part of the spread
  3. Determine how many cards you want (this will naturally happen when you’re picking the questions)
  4. Find a spread/layout that feels right to you and the purpose of it
  5. Enjoy your badass spread!

Honestly I love Ghibli for the exact same reasons. Especially films like Kiki’s Delivery Service, Howl’s Moving Castle, and Ponyo. They’re such cute, happy films that make me want to wonder off to a different world and be as careless and simple as the characters are.

I knowwww!

Kiki, Ponyo, Whisper of the Heart, When Marnie Was There and From Up on Poppy Hill are so nice and carefree! I also enjoy Totoro, Only Yesterday, Spirited Away and Arietty for those reasons.

(I enjoy all of them except Grave of the Fireflies) but the ones I listed whisk me away to a carefree world! I think I tend to enjoy the slice of life ones better than the adventure ones.
